Whatever (Redux) Released

It’s been 23 years since the tragic events surrounding WWE wrestler Chris Benoit and the theme song we wrote for him. We feel that enough time has passed that it was necessary to  to re-record “Whatever” to help shine a light on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. We hit the studio with Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Evanescence)to recapture the energy from the original version in 2025.

We’re donating all monies earned from streaming Whatever to suicide prevention initiatives across North America. Listen to "Whatever (Redux)" here: https://lnk.to/OLPwhatever

OLP30 Hip Cover, Live Album

We have less than one week until we finish the OLP30 tour in Canada at Bud Stage in Toronto on July 24th. We have been recording the shows across the tour and are happy to announce the OLP30 Live album is coming soon, stay tuned for that. As a first taste, we wanted to share one of the most special moments of the OLP30 tour captured live…

The Tragically Hip taught me the difference between entertainment and art while i was a struggling artist in my teens. It wouldn’t seem right celebrating OLP30 & the release of the Live album without paying homage to this seminal band. Locked in the Trunk of a Car is a movie. Cannot wait to perform this at Bud Stage July 24th! - Raine Maida

Check out the full performance of “Locked In The Trunk of a Car” embedded below or on YouTube.

Stay tuned for more info. Tickets for the July 24th show at Bud Stage are available here.

Canada's Walk Of Fame

Today Canada’s Walk of Fame announced that OLP is included in their 2025 list of inductees. What an absolute honour, and a great way to highlight the OLP30 celebration alongside the tour and new music.

For more information, visit the CWOF website, and check out Raine’s personal video speaking about the honour on Instagram.

More information to come on the festivities next year, we hope you’ll come celebrate.

OLP30 Vol 2

OLP30 Vol. 2 is available now featuring the new song “I Wanna Be Your Drug” alongside some more of our early era hits “One Man Army”, “Is Anybody Home?”, “Thief”, “In Repair” and “Right Behind You (Mafia)”.

"I Wanna Be Your Drug feels Ike it could’ve come from the Naveed or Clumsy albums. It carries the same raw emotion and stripped-down instrumentation that defined the first two OLP records. I wrote this song in 2015, and we tried recording it with our very first producer Arnold Lanni. Something never felt right so it was shelved until we went to work with Nick Raskulinecz in Nashville this past February. 9 years later this song is about to see the light of day," - Raine

Listen to OLP30 Vol 2 here and stay tuned for more.
